




These days competition to attract visitors to a location is intense. Consumers have so much choice of where they can go, what they can see and where they can stay. Windsor of course has the advantage that it has one of the most famous attractions in world, Windsor castle. However there is much more to the area than just the castle and it’s these aspects that the visitor management team were keen to get across to potential visitors both consumer and business customers alike to encourage them to explore and stay longer.
The cornerstone of the activity were two comprehensive publications; a visitor guide and an accommodation guide. Both had to have a similar look and feel but had a separate job to do. From a design point of view styling had to be elegant to reflect both the town and the accommodation, a lot of which is high end.
The visitor guide was a combination of editorial and sponsored advertising which had to be incorporated and designed in a balanced way. The design of accommodation guide was a great deal formal and acted as more of a directory and also had to incorporate advertising.
